| Suki Hairdressers Angela Carson - Senior Stylist @ Newcastle Suki places great emphasis on training and over the years, I have been given the opportunity to continually learn with Suki's educational programmes and guest artists, exclusive to our salon. I love belonging to a great team, I love the energy and creativity. I have been involved in many of our photo shoots, competitions, as well as the Generation Next Show at Hair Expo. One of my career highlights was to attend the KMS Style Council in Hollywood, California along with Sandy Chong and Renee Walkom. I have the most amazing clientele and I am booked out everyday Kate Jones - Senior Stylist/Art Director @ Paddington Winner – Hair Expo Apprentice of the Year 2006 / Member of the Fame Team 2005-06. / Represented the Fame Team at Salon International, London, 2005 / Finalist AHFA 2006 for Apprentice of the Year / Finalist – Hair Expo Apprentice of the Year 2005 Suki has introduced me to some amazing opportunities within our industry, and also outside the industry. I have been involved in styling for Fashion Week, The Whitehouse Institute of Design, editorial photographic shoots with fabulous models and celebrities, TV Shows and Commercials, as well as producing a Generation Next Show for Hair Expo. My work has also been featured in Instyle, Culture, Australian Hairdressers Journal, Hairdressers Journal International (London) plus many others. Renee Walkom - Senior Stylist/Art Director @ Newcastle Judges Recognition Hair Expo New Creative Force 2006 / Member of GHD Directive I have been at Suki for 12 years now, and in that time I have competed and won many competitions, represented Suki at various fashion shows, editorial shoots such as the Whitehouse Institute of Design, The Canberra Institute of Technology, Cream Magazine, Oyster Magazine, Generation Next for Hair Expo, The Wedding Guide, Culture Magazine, Internation Journal and more. With Suki’s excellent incentive programmes, I have been to London twice for Salon International and to Hollywood, California for the KMS Style Council. Julia McGrath - Stylist @ Paddington Winner of Hair Expo Apprentice of the Year 2006 Finalist of Hair Expo Apprentice of the Year 2007 I have worked at Suki for just over 4 years. In that time, I have many educational courses, styled hair at all of Suki’s photo shoots, and I’ve even had my first “front cover” with Cream Magazine! At Suki, I have had the opportunity to work on TV commercials, Fashion Week, Channel V, CD covers for bands, Australia’s Next Top Model, Generation Next, Fashion Expose`s and The Whitehouse Insititute of Design end of year parades. This years highlight was working on five shows at New York Fashion Week. Michelle Cvetanoski - Senior Stylist @ Newcastle National Winner Goldwell CCS (Cut Colour, Style) I've now been at Suki for 5 years and I have a fabulous Clientele. Suki has opened the door to opportunities and training I could not get anywhere else! One of my career high lights is winning the Goldwell CCS Photographic Award. My prize was a trip for 2 to Salon International in London plus magazine coverage in Culture, Instyle, AHJ, TV and media. Clayton Wheeler - Senior Stylist @ Paddington 2007 Australian Next Top Model. Winner of Hair Expo Apprentice of the Year 2007 Everyday as a hairdresser I love to create a hairstyle that suits the persons' style and inviduality. Whether it is long beautifully styled hair, a glamorous funky bob or a Mia Farrow-inspired pixie cute haircut. (which I'm loving at the moment!). Being with a creative team that you can bounce ideas off of and to be able to work in an evironment that is The Suki Playground allows me to do whatever I desire and lets me be the creative person I am. |
